Climate change affects most of those who are the most vulnerable. For this reason, at WWF Peru we work in collaboration with various actors to create solutions that help us develop mitigation and adaptation strategies. We promote a more sustainable and resilient development that benefits everyone, encouraging participatory and effective public management.
From water connectivity to sustainable energy development, we offer alternatives that conserve nature and protect people. We also support policies that encourage sustainable livestock farming and measures to reduce deforestation.
We strengthen the regulatory framework and its public policies for sustainable fisheries management, corruption reduction, and marine conservation. We also seek the creation and implementation of fisheries management regulations (ROPs) for giant squid, Mahi Mahi, and sharks and the adoption and implementation of the transparency initiative (FITI) standard by the Peruvian government.
