Peru needs to adopt a development model that ensures the life and well-being of people and the incredible natural wealth of its landscapes. The country has a unique opportunity to establish a new path and participate, decisively, in the global change needed to reduce habitat loss, species extinction, and the footprint of production and consumption. 

At WWF Peru we are committed to mobilizing change processes that allow us to sustainably manage nature with the full and effective participation of indigenous peoples and local communities. And, we have set ambitious goals through which we seek to conserve strategic areas and species and generate income through sustainable production chains. 
Strategy 1: Conservation mechanisms to maintain connectivity

At WWF Peru we work to keep our ecosystems and the species that inhabit them alive. We connect vital spaces and conserve them through innovative solutions under a rights-based approach that promotes a safe planet for all.

Strategy 2: Empowering Indigenous peoples and local communities for the conservation of their resources and territories

Indigenous peoples and local communities are key players in protecting forests and oceans, combating climate change and conserving nature.

Strategy 3: Sustainable supply chains, linked to markets and financial mechanisms

Production chains that lack sustainability criteria contribute to the destruction of ecosystems, such as deforestation, soil degradation and unsustainable fishing, among others.
Strategy 4: Effective and participative public policies

Climate change affects most of those who are the most vulnerable. For this reason, at WWF Peru we work in collaboration with different actors to create solutions that help us develop mitigation and adaptation strategies.

Strategy 5: Pollution-free Amazon and Pacific

Plastics, mercury, and petroleum are materials used in human activities that degrade our ecosystem and directly harm people's health.
